This rich, complex Chenin Blanc assimilates fresh winter fruit flavours with the warmth of oak maturation. Fermented in 300 litre new french oak barrels and further aged in barrel for 12 months, it is wine that will develop well into the future. Grapes were sourced from low-yielding dry-land bush vines whose difficult living conditions produce fruit of unusual depth and clarity.
The wine has a light straw colour with a green translucent edge. Delicate flavours of yellow peach, litchi and white pear are followed by ginger and spicy notes and balanced oak flavours. The palate is full bodied with a creamy texture and shows great length, balanced acidity and a mineral freshness.
